Carol Evans Completed Her Dream!
As a grandmother of five, Carol had a dream of one day walking the trails from one end of PEI to the other.
On September of 2009, she took her idea to the Prince County Hospital Foundation where the excitement began to build and it turned into a major fundraiser.
First and foremost it was promoted as a health project as well as fundraiser. It was decided that the funds raised would be used to help buy a new Echo Cardiogram Machine, the first for the Prince County Hospital.
Carol and her team began their hike on August 25, 2010, beginning in Elmira, and successfully completed their hike on Carol's 60th birthday, the 1st of September, in Tignish.
Carol's dream became the dream of every Islander, a dream of better health and better health care: Thanks for sharing this dream with her!
